This week we finished with the book “The Giver”. I think this book had a really confusing yet interesting ending. The author leaves a cliff hanger, never explaining what happened to him. Did he die? Was he able to make it into the other communities? What happened to Gabriel? Although she left the book at a point where it was very confusing, I think the mystery in it made it interesting. This book was overall a great and unique story that I would defiantly recommend.
The more I think about it, the more I think we can be pretty certain of what happened to Jonas and Gabriel. I think I know. But it’s not for me to say, is it?
I totally agree! It drove me crazy at night because I hate not knowing things so I made up my own ending. He almost dies and is saved by a magical bear.
I agree with the Giver being a very confusing yet meaningful book. My “belief” of what happened to Jonas is that he died because his favorite memory was the last he saw.
